I met Mark and his son Kieran at a little league tournament in Italy and before I knew it I was on my way to staying with they’re family for 9 months, this was the start of a great journey.
In my first weeks I got too meet the whole family and Mark took my parents and me on an unforgettable road trip. This road trip was full of adventures my dad jumped of the world’s highest bridge, we got lost in the woods and got to ride an ostrich.
But when my parents left South Africa is when the fun really started. I made a lot of new friends that I still have contact with and besides getting new friends I have lots of great memories that I will never forget, these memories and friends made me the person I am today as I grew more mentally and physically then I could have ever imagined.
After my nine months were over I returned for the Christmas holidays and I’m going to do the same this year, I am also still holding on to the dream of returning to study in Stellenbosch as South Africa has become a part of my life.
