ksrecCape Town – South Africans can be proud of the fantastic news that the Virgin Kitesurfing Armada held in Blouberg in Cape Town on Saturday successfully set a new World Record.

After 3 hours of kitesurfing the World Record was smashed – with a total of 415 kitesurfers completing the one mile course between Dolphin Beach and Doodles. In fantastic conditions, the kiting community came together to support the event, and the atmosphere on the beach was fantastic.ks1

The Virgin Kitesurfing Armada record for the ‘Largest Parade of Kitesurfers’ was previously set in Spain in January 2015 – when when 352 kite-surfers came together on Los Lances Beach, Tarifa.
